Saulnierville, NS, Canada – April 20, 2021:
After careful consideration and monitoring of public health directives surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic as well as in consideration of the preservation of our brand, the 2021 edition of Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie has been cancelled. Our priority is the health and well-being of participants, volunteers, our community and supporters.

We will be back in 2022 with another stellar event that will meet the high quality and expectations that our participants and community have come to expect over the last five years. We hope to see you all on September 17 and 18, 2022!

In the interest of continuing to promote a cycling culture in our community, we are excited to offer a separate unique event planned for the summer of 2021. For those who enjoy rougher terrain and a smaller scale event, we are planning a “Terra Fondo” on October 2, 2021, where mountain bikers can experience some of our trails and beautiful scenery followed by an after-ride celebration and meal. Stay tuned for updates! Please note that this event is for those 19 years of age and over only. All Public Health protocols surrounding COVID-19 will be in place.

For more information regarding the Terra Fondo, please visit the Baie Sainte-Marie website, or if you're ready: register now!

Thank you for your understanding, patience and unwavering support. Stay safe and stay in touch!

Hobbies: walking, camping and spending time with my grandchildren
Favourite Gran Fondo moment: When the cyclists arrive at the rest station and seeing how enthusiastic they are for the event.

Why I volunteer for GFBSM: It is a way to participate in the Gran Fondo without having to cycle, but most importantly meeting people and showcasing what Baie Sainte-Marie’s community has to offer
