Saulnierville, NS, Canada – March 30, 2022: The Terra Fondo mountain bike event is returning for its second year on Saturday, September 17, 2022, and will be held at the Clare Golf and Country Club in Comeauville.
The 67 km route winds through beautiful mixed forests with river and lake views, historic sites, a farmers’ market, and a scenic coastal section. After the ride, participants will be treated to a relaxed meal and local entertainment on the grounds of the Clare Golf and Country Club.
In anticipation of work related to the revitalization of the Clare Veterans Centre, the 2022 edition of Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie will be postponed until 2023.
Major exterior and interior renovations slated at the event’s headquarters the next year will make hosting the event unfeasible. Without a suitable event venue to host 1,000 participants, the Gran Fondo will be rescheduled for September 9-10, 2023.
With a refreshed event venue, the Gran Fondo will return bigger and better in 2023 with another stellar cycling event that our participants and community have come to expect from our first five editions. Moving forward, we will be alternating Gran and Terra Fondo events every September.
To assist with future planning, the expected dates for the next three years are the following:
Registration for the Terra Fondo mountain bike event will be opening soon. For more information, please visit the Baie Sainte-Marie website.
Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, our community and supporters for your understanding, patience and unwavering support. Stay safe and stay in touch!
